Car auction dealer did not provide title

Dear Consumer Ed:

How long does a car auction dealer in Georgia have to give buyer a title, and where can I find a written State document to print?

Consumer Ed says:

Under Georgia law O.C.G.A. § 43-47-10(1)(P), if you buy a car from an auction company, the company has 21 days from the date of purchase to assign and process the title for you.  If it has been more than 21 days and you have not received the title yet, you can file a complaint against the auction company by contacting the Georgia Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division at 404-651-8600.
